Bardia Yousefi

Bardia Yousefi is a faculty in the A. James Clark School of Engineering 's B.S. in Biocomputational Engineering program, at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD). He joined UMD after working at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman school of medicine . He also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Laval University, Quebec City. He received his second Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Computer Vision and System Laboratory (CVSL), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Laval University in 2018, and his first Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the University Malaya in 2016. His research interests involve dimensionality reduction, data mining, and machine/deep learning in various applications i.e., precision medicine (AI in medicine).
He was a Vice President of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers-IEEE Young Professionals (YP) in Quebec Section Canada in 2017 and currently serves as an invited editor for Machine Learning issues in Cancers, Sensors, Infrared Physics and Technology, and Remote Sensing. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation & Measurement (TIM) journal and has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in different scientific journals and proceeding conferences.
